Singaporeans and permanent residents can apply for tickets to the National Day Parade (NDP) and its preview from today to May 17.
Applicants can ballot for two, four or six tickets to the NDP Preview on Aug 1 or the parade on Aug 9. Those who apply for fewer tickets will have a higher chance of getting them, said the NDP executive committee.
Applicants can ballot for tickets to the Padang, The Float @ Marina Bay or "either location". Those who choose either location will receive all allocated tickets for only one venue.
Applications can be submitted via SMS, the official NDP website (www.ndp.org.sg) or at SAM and AXS stations.
To apply via SMS, details in a set format - SPACE SPACE SPACE SPACE SPACE - should be sent to 8240-0050.
For the Padang, applicants should press the number "1".
For The Float, applicants should press the number "2".
For either location, applicants should press the number "0".
Each NRIC holder is limited to one application. Tickets will be allocated by an electronic ballot system, and each ticket admits one spectator to the parade.
Children and infants must also have a ticket.
Successful applicants will be notified from June 1 to 5 via the contact number provided in their applications, and must accept the tickets via an SMS reply to the same notifying number by midnight on June 14.
Tickets can be collected from June 5 to 14 from 10am to 10pm at the Marina Square Shopping Mall Atrium, where the NDP exhibition will be held. All successful applicants in last year's eBalloting exercise will not be eligible this year.
