MALAYSIA - Makkal Osai reported that the burning of a house in Kampong Railway, Sentul, by two unidentified youths on a motorcycle early on Tuesday morning has angered the residents.

Om Sri Sakthi Muniswarar Temple president K.M. Segar, who witnessed the incident, said that the residents have been facing problems since YTL Corporation bought over the land from the government.

He said residents who had been living here for the past four generations have been given compensation of RM18,000 (S$6,953) and three years of rent-free houses in Bukit Jalil, but added that only a handful accepted the offer while the rest are holding out for a better package.
