Artist is big draw

Hundreds of people were drawn to the Paragon mall to see savant Stephen Wiltshire in action yesterday.

Acclaimed for his ability to draw detailed cityscapes from memory, the Briton has been commissioned by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) to draw the Singapore cityscape as part of SPH's 30th anniversary celebrations.

He started last Wednesday and is set to complete the work today. It will be presented to President Tony Tan Keng Yam in September as a gift to Singapore for its 50th birthday.
