Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop signs Condolence Book for Lee Kuan Yew

Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has offered her condolences for Singapore's former prime minister Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

Ms Bishop had visited the Singapore High Commission in Canberra at noon to sign the Condolence Book.

In her message, Ms Bishop wrote: "Our thoughts are with the people of Singapore as they mourn the loss of their founding father - a giant of his times."

Ms Bishop has also posted the signing of the Condolence Book on her Facebook and Twitter pages.

Australia Prime Minister Tony Abbott will be among the foreign diginitaries paying their last respects to Mr Lee at the state funeral on Sunday.
