With all the concerted efforts to reduce water wastage, why are so many public toilets still using the auto-flush system?
I am sure many of us have experienced unnecessary flushing as soon as the sensor detects someone in the cubicle.
It seems bizarre that many shopping malls reduce the water flow of taps to a trickle, making hand-washing frustrating, yet allow litres of water to literally go down the drain with the auto-flush system.
Shouldn't auto-flushing be banned? It is not difficult for a user to push a knob to flush the toilet after use.
