KUALA LUMPUR - He just served out a 12-year jail sentence and now it looks like he will be landing right back in the slammer after he stabbed and slashed a man with a butcher's knife for a mere RM150 (S$53.97).

Police barged into the 38-year-old man's room in a Jalan Raja Laut on Sunday, hours after he attacked a man in a budget hotel room.

City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said the victim, another known criminal, was in his room when the suspect entered with a four-inch knife and a struggle ensued.
