Bodies found along Singapore and Kallang rivers identified by family members

SINGAPORE - Mr Lee Eng Hock, 59, whose body was found in the Singapore River at about 4pm on Thursday, was jobless and suffered from depression, his younger brother Lee Eng Hwa, 57, told The Straits Times at the mortuary at Singapore General Hospital.

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it received a call at about 4pm and manually the retrieved the body, which is that of man in his 50s or 60s, using rescue lines. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was clad in a short-sleeved shirt and a pair of bermuda shorts.

Body found at Singapore River

Police received a call today at about 3.51pm requesting for assistance at a river along Upper Circular Road.

Upon police's arrival, a man, in his 60s, was found motionless at the said location.

He was pronounced dead by paramedics at scene. Police are investigating the unnatural death.

Body found at Kallang River

Police received a call today at about 3.46pm, requesting for assistance at a river along Nicoll Highway near Golden Mile.

Upon police's arrival, a man was found motionless at the said location.

He was pronounced dead by paramedics at scene. Police are investigating the unnatural death.
