Body found in sea off Changi Beach Park on Sunday morning

SINGAPORE - The body of a temple medium was found in the sea off Changi Beach Park on Sunday morning, hours after he performed rites as part of the Qing Ming Festival.

A spokesperson for the Singapore Police Force said that the police received a call at about 2:44am requesting for assistance.

A 35-year-old man was reported to have gone missing in the sea.

Search and rescue operations were carried out by SCDF and SPF officers, and the man's body was retrieved at 9:45am.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:50am.

The case has been classified as an unnatural death. Police investigations are ongoing.
