Body found in suitcase: Search continues for man's missing legs

SINGAPORE - The search for the pair of legs belonging to a dead body found along Syed Alwi Road continues today, a day after its gruesome discovery.

According to a report on Lianhe Zaobao, the age of the man and his nationality has yet to be determined at this time.

The man's corpse had been discovered in a luggage bag, with both legs apparently severed.

A contributor to citizen journalism website Stomp reported the incident yesterday, along with photos of the scene.

Police say they had responded to a call for assistance at 6.04pm, and had arrived to find a luggage bag soaked in blood with the upper body of a man missing his legs in it.

The Straits Times had earlier reported that a 57-year-old cleaner had been working nearby when he saw a middle-aged man attempting to carrying the bag.

He stopped the man after noticing that the bag was soaked in blood and called the police.

The middle-aged man had remained at the scene till Police arrived.

Police investigations are ongoing.
