Bruneian Prince presented with SAF honorary Badge and driving license

SINGAPORE - The Crown Prince of Brunei, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, was presented with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF)'s Honorary Advanced Combat Skills Badge and an Honorary LSV MK II Driver's License on Tuesday morning.

Hosted by Second Minister for Defence Mr Chan Chun Sing, Prince Billah is on a five-day official visit to Singapore from Sep 1 to 5, at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean under the Singapore-Brunei Young Leaders' Programme.

During his visit to the SAF's Multi-Mission Range Complex, the Prince viewed live-firing demonstrations at the 50m indoor shooting range and the urban operations range, and also fired the Singapore Assault Rifle 21.

He also drove the upgraded Light Strike Vehicle Mark-II (LSV MK II) and also viewed a static display of the Skyblade III Unmanned Aerial Vehicle as part of the programme.

The Ministry of Defence said in a statement that Prince Billah's visit to the SAF underscores the special and long-standing defence relationship between Singapore and Brunei.

The SAF and RBAF interact regularly through a wide range of activities such as bilateral exercises, regular visits and professional exchanges. The Army and the RBLF will mark the 20th anniversary of their flagship bilateral Exercise Maju Bersama in Brunei next April.
