ALOR SETAR - A businesswoman can thank her lucky stars after burglars ransacked her perfume shop in Jalan Langgar here but missed the safe box containing RM20,000 (S$7119).

Shariza Nadzri, 35, said neighbours told her about the robbery when she arrived at her shop at about 9.30am yesterday.

"I quickly rushed to the back door and it was left open. All the lights in the shop were also turned on.

"I was lucky they missed the safe box in the drawer," she said when met at her shop.

She said the money was the collection of the previous day and was supposed to be banked in yesterday.

"However, they managed to take some cash, a laptop and two smartphones. I believe the robbery could have happened at night," she said.

Shariza said she had handed over to the police the CCTV video footage.

It is learnt that two other shops next door were also burglarised on the same day.
