The agreement was reached after extensive discussions spanning two years, and was witnessed by NTUC secretary-general Lim Swee Say at Orchid Country Club.

SINGAPORE - Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa were fined $337,500 and $190,000 respectively for breaching social safeguards between May 1 and Dec 31 last year.

For instance, they allowed some citizens and permanent residents to enter or remain in the integrated resorts' casinos without valid entry levies, said the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore yesterday.
