SINGAPORE - A group of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) trainees were caught on video thrashing and creating a mess in their dormitory before their passing out.
The one-minute clip was uploaded onto Facebook on Monday, Apr 27, and subsequently picked up by a number of news portals, including citizen journalism website Stomp.
The video shows the group destroying their bunk on what appears to be their last day.
In the video, bedframes, cupboards and mattresses can be seen toppled and flipped over, while rubbish is strewn all over the room.
One of the men in the video could be seen pouring a drink on the floor and throwing the drink packet into the mess, while another in a black T-shirt picked up an ironing board and flung it across the room.
Some of the trainees were also seen smoking in the dormitory.
A contributor to Stomp said such behaviour was unbefitting of uniformed personnel.
In a Facebook post, SCDF said that it had begun investigations into the incident.
"SCDF takes a serious view on the matter and has already commenced investigation. Disciplinary action will be taken against those who are involved," SCDF said.
