Multiple celebrations sites will be set up around Marina Bay on Aug 9 to allow more Singaporeans to celebrate the nation's Golden Jubilee together, the NDP 2015 Executive Committee said on Saturday.
Watch NDP 2015 "Live"
Celebrants can watch the live telecast of the National Day Parade from the Padang at eight prominent locations with large LED screens around the Bay.
The largest of these sites is the Float @ Marina Bay with a seating capacity of 26,000. It is also the second ticketed site for NDP 2015.
At The Float, celebrants can catch the pre-parade show performed by community groups from SAFRA and PA, as well as join in the post-parade party featuring homegrown celebrities such as Ling Kai, Sezairi Sezali and the cast of Ah Boys to Men.
In addition, visitors can look forward to spectacular views of the Aerial display, the Presidential Gun Salute, and the Fireworks display.
The Mobile Column will also arrive at the Float after passing the Padang, and the marching contingents from the parade will join the spectators for the Pledge Moment.
Enjoy celebration events and roving performances
Apart from the live broadcast of the Parade, members of the public can participate in other celebration events such as Uncle Ringo "50 Years of Fun" Carnival and #SgEatWithUs Celebrates by the Bay.
They can also catch roving performances by Joget Dancers in their traditional Malay costumes, street magicians as well as Poi Twirlers.
Marina Bay lights up with 50 design installations
50 specially designed light-installations will also light up Marina Bay by taking the shape of the numerals 1 to 50.
Visitors who hash-tag photos taken with the installations with #NDP2015 on social media platforms will get to see their photos displayed on the large LED screens around the Bay.
