Charge phone free at 200 stations

Charge phone free at 200 stations

ON THE go and your battery is low? By the end of this year, this will not be so much of a problem as 200 free mobile charging stations will be available islandwide.

The initiative by Singapore Power is a gift for SG50 presented in partnership with SingHealth, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, the National Library Board, NTUC FairPrice supermarkets and several tertiary institutions.

The stations, which will be available for one to two years, will be launched progressively in busy locations, including hospitals, tertiary institutions, libraries and supermarkets.

At least 20 stations are expected to be installed by the middle of next month, with about 40 more added monthly.

All units are expected to be in place by December.
