Citizens nab upskirt pervert
Four strangers helped nab a man accused of insulting a woman's modesty by taking upskirt pictures.

SINGAPORE - Four citizens responded to the cries of a women in distress in the Bukit Merah area, who was yelling "pervert, pervert".

They chased after and took down a man, pinning him down until the police arrived.

It had been like any other Monday night at 26 FoodLoft, a coffee shop at Jalan Membina, until shouts and the sound of impending footsteps could be heard coming from the lift nearby at about 7pm.

Harry Toh Yi Shan, 17, a cashier at the Collin's Grille Bento branch at the coffee shop, recounted the incident:

"At first, I wasn't sure what was happening as everything happened so fast.

"All I could see was a man chasing another man, while a woman was at a distance behind, constantly shouting 'Pervert! Pervert! The pervert is getting away!'"

The teen said three customers leapt to their feet and helped to chase the man.

"They managed to tackle and pin down the alleged molester before he reached the carpark exit.

Customers and store owners alike rushed out of the coffee shop to check on the commotion.

Stomp user Dolphin, was having dinner at the coffee shop when the incident occurred.

He wrote on the citizen journalism website: "After dinner, I saw four Good Samaritans pinning down a man near my table.
