COE quota for February to April up from previous quarter

The certificate of entitlement quota for February to April 2015 will be 14,114, said the Land Transport Authority on Wednesday.

This means that the monthly quota for bidding will be 4,705, up 18.3 per cent from the monthly quota of 3,977 available in the preceding quarter.

The quota takes into account the reduced cap of 0.25 per cent on annual vehicle population growth, announced in October last year - down from 0.5 per cent, said LTA.

The monthly supply of car COEs - including the Open Category - will be 3,766, up 23 per cent from the November 2014 to January 2015 quarter. The monthly supply of Motorcycle COEs is down 10 per cent to 570, from 634.

Bidding under the quota will start with the first bidding exercise in February, LTA said.
