Command of Tanglin Police Division to change on Jan 1

SINGAPORE - The Command of Tanglin Police Division will change on Jan 1, 2016.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) Tan Chia Han will take over from DAC Lu Yeow Lim who will move on to assume the appointment of Director, Police Licensing and Regulatory Department on the same day.

DAC Tan, 36, joined the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in 1998. He has served 17 years with SPF, holding several key appointments, including Deputy Commander of Jurong Division and Deputy Director of Planning and Organisation Department.

He also served as the Senior Assistant Director, Policy and Operations Division during a two-year secondment period with Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

DAC Lu, 49, was appointed Commander of Tanglin Division since Jun 11, 2012.

He joined the Singapore Police Force in 1993 and has served 22 years with SPF holding several key appointments including Deputy Head Investigation of Traffic Police, Assistant Director Operations, Operations Department and Deputy Commander of Tanglin Division.
