KUALA LUMPUR - A suspected drug dealer tried to ram into a policeman, triggering an hour-long chase in heavy traffic from Bandar Tasek Selatan to Taman OUG where the man tried to wriggle his way out by offering his alleged dope takings of RM10,470 (S$4,030) to the officers who cornered him.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohan Singh said a police team had earlier observed the suspect at an apartment block in Bandar Tasek Selatan before the man was nabbed at about 4.30pm on Wednesday.
Police tailed the suspect in heavy traffic and radioed for a police motorcycle to join the chase, which ended when the policeman on the bike cornered him at Taman OUG.
Police found 9.74gm of syabu and RM10,470 in cash believed to be money from drug sales.
While being questioned, the suspect offered to give the money to the policemen for his release.
