With exactly 50 days to go before the official opening of the 28th South-east Asia (SEA) Games here, the Singapore South-east Asia Games Organising Committee (Singsoc) has rallied schools, organisations and interest groups to be part of the countdown.
To kick things off, the number 50 was formed at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) last Saturday, witnessed by Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for Community, Culture and Youth, Chan Lee Mun, NYP principal and CEO, and Lim Teck Yin, Singsoc exco chairman.
Past and present athletes, residents and students from secondary schools around Nanyang Polytechnic formed the figure 50, marking the first of the 50-day countdown.
