SINGAPORE - Central Provident Fund (CPF) members will not be able to use the CPF Board's website e-payment service for now as it is temporarily unavailable.

According to a notice on the CPF Board website on Monday (Dec 28) evening, the e-payment service is down but "all other payment options, including AXS and GIRO, continue to be available".

Said the notice: "All other CPF e-services are unaffected. We are working to resume the website e-payment service as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

This means users will be unable to make transfers from their bank accounts into their CPF accounts, or top up their Medisave account, for example.

In a statement, CPF Board said the e-payment service "makes up less than 0.5% of our online transactions per day".

The Straits Times reported that the service has been down since Saturday, according to some users.

The latest downtime comes after a major outage that lasted more than two weeks and was eventually fully restored on Dec 15.
