CPF warns users of fake duplicate of website found online

SINGAPORE - A fake duplicate of the Central Provident Fund's (CPF) corporate website has been discovered online.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday (Dec 15), the CPF Board said that the existence of the fake website had been brought to its attention.

"We are currently working to bring down this fake website," it said.

CPF reminded its members to remain vigilant and exercise caution when using the Internet for transactional purposes.

It also urged the public to use only the official CPF website for all informational and transactional needs concerning CPF matters.

Earlier this year, authorities warned SingPass users not to fall prey to a phishing email, which had been making the rounds to try and get users to divulge sensitive personal information such as their user identities and passwords.
