Singaporeans skateboarding through the Central Business District yesterday, which coincided with Go Skateboarding Day, the official holiday for skateboarding around the world.
It was conceived by the International Association of Skateboard Companies in 2004 with the aim of promoting skateboarding through fund-raisers, competitions and demonstrations around the world.
In Singapore, a contest featuring different obstacle formats was held by SkateSg, a local company which organises skate-related events, at Scape Playspace in the Orchard Road area.
