Doc charged with molesting fellow doc

A male doctor was charged yesterday with drugging and molesting a fellow male doctor last year.

Tan Kok Leong, 49, was charged with two counts of administering a stupefying drug with the intention to commit molest and three counts of outrage of modesty.

He allegedly molested the 31-year-old victim at Life Source Medical Centre on the 10th storey of Novena Medical Centre in Sinaran Drive, near Thomson Road, on June 6 last year.

On July 5, he allegedly administered Dormicum to the man.

Tan is also accused of molesting him at the nearby Oasia Hotel that day.

He allegedly administered the same drug to the younger man and molested him again the next day.

Tan, who is represented by lawyer Edmond Pereira, is now out on $10,000 bail.

His pre-trial conference will be held on Nov 10.

If convicted of molest, for each count, he can be jailed for up to two years, or fined, or caned, or receive any combination of such punishments.
