Dr Maliki visits Indonesia Nov 4-5

SINGAPORE - Minister of State for Defence Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman is visiting Indonesia from Nov 4 to 5, and attended the opening ceremony of the 6th Indo Defence 2014 Expo and Forum held in Jakarta.
A MINDEF statement released today said that Dr Maliki also called on Indonesian Minister of Defence General (GEN) (Rtd) Ryamizard Ryacudu and reaffirmed the strong bilateral defence relationship between the two countries and the close cooperation between the Singapore Armed Forces and the Indonesian National Defence Forces.
The armed forces of both countries have conducted regular bilateral air, land and sea exercises, engaged in other professional exchanges and cross-attended professional courses.
In addition, MINDEF said that Dr Maliki's visit underscores the long-standing defence ties between Singapore and Indonesia.
