Driver cries after being jailed

KUALA LUMPUR - An ambulance driver shed tears after a Sessions Court judge sentenced him to jail for attempting to rob a cashier using a 67cm parang in April, last year.

Judge Azwarnida Affandi sentenced Mohamat Hafizi Kasim to three years' jail after he pleaded guilty to the charge.

Azwarnida ordered the sentence against Mohamat Hafizi to run from yesterday.

Mohamat Hafizi, 29, was charged with committing the offence by using the parang against Salim, who is a Pakistani, at KK Supermart & Superstore Sdn Bhd in Bukit Jalil here at about 5.20am on April 5 last year.
