Police have identified the driver who was caught on video speeding and swerving his car before crashing twice on West Coast Highway, and investigations are ongoing.

A video of the driver's reckless act and the accident, which occurred on July 25, had been caught on camera. It was later posted online.

In the video, a driver lost control of his car while trying to overtake a lorry, and rammed into the concrete road divider on the right-side of the expressway, before swerving to the left-most lane and crashing into the opposite barrier and the back of another lorry.

A spokesperson for the Police has responded to the incident and said: "Traffic Police do not condone such inconsiderate road behaviour and have identified the 28-year-old car driver involved in an accident along West Coast Highway that was reported on 25 July 2015 at about 8.53am.

"Investigations are ongoing and appropriate actions will be taken in accordance with the law.

"Traffic Police would also like to request for the person(s) who witnessed and/or recorded the accident on video to come forward to provide us with more information via http://www.spf.gov.sg/epc/index.html or call 65470000. All information will be kept strictly confidential."
