ALOR GAJAH - A drunk foreigner caused a stir during an operation to flush out illegal immigrants at Taman Mewah in Kelamak here.
The 28-year-old Nepalese, who was too intoxicated to wake up during the 11pm enforcement raid, had to be splashed with a bucket of cold water on his face.
Surprised, the man started to mumble and even performed martial art stunts, but enforcement officers overpowered him.
Malacca Immigration Department director Mahpof Mahmood said the man initially thought his friends were pulling a prank on him.
"He was shocked to see officers in uniform surrounding him," Mahpof said.
He was among 48 people who were rounded up during the hour-long operation at the flat.
A total of 120 foreign workers were screened during the raid.
Those detained were aged between 20 and 40, and did not have valid travel documents.
