Elderly man slashed with machete in attempted robbery in Ipoh
An elderly man was attacked by two men on a motorcycle, one of which wielded a machete, in an attempted robbery in Ipoh, Malaysia on Sept 5.

IPOH, Malaysia - An elderly man was slashed and robbed by two men riding on a motorcycle on Sep 5, at about 4.40pm.

In a video posted by Malaysia Crime Awareness Campaign, the two men clad in safety helmets caught the elderly man off-guard when they pulled up on their motorcycle next to him in an alley.

One of the motorist got off and shoved the elderly against the wall, pinning him down while searching his pockets.

His accomplice, holding a machete, then proceeded to slash the elderly man without mercy.

Fortunately for the elderly man, his ordeal ended as soon as passers-by took notice of the situation and rushed in to his aid.

However he was left with visible wounds as he was seen wiping the blood off of his face.

There was no number plate visible on the motorcycle.
