Elderly woman's leg crushed after bus accident at Marsiling

An elderly woman's leg was crushed in a bus accident at Marsiling on Friday at 1.30pm.

Nidah, who witnessed the accident, wrote in to online citizen journalism site Stomp and said that the old lady had only stepped one foot out of the door when the bus started moving off.

A photo showed the elderly woman whose foot appeared bloody with torn skin.

She wrote: "My daughter and I happened to sit near the door where she dropped off.

"Luckily, there were many people in the bus that shouted for the bus to stop.

"My daughter was scared and I was shaky when the bus reversed, I heard that her leg was crushed."

According to several online reports, the incident occurred on Bus service 913 at Marsiling near Town Garden.
