End-June deadline for Little India COI findings

Little India COI findings

The Committee of Inquiry (COI) into the Little India riot last December will submit its findings to Home Affairs Minister Teo Chee Hean by the end of the month. This comes after Mr Teo, who is also Deputy Prime Minister, granted the committee a two-week extension to the original June 13 deadline, for it to go through testimonies and other relevant information.

A total of 25 Indian nationals were charged in connection with the riot. Nine men have been convicted. One man has claimed trial and cases against the remaining 15 men are pending.
