Ex-radio DJ suffers stroke

SINGAPORE - Former radio DJ Bernard Lim is undergoing treatment at a hospital after suffering a stroke on Saturday night.

Life! understands that Mr Lim, 45, managing director for television with MediaCorp, suffered a stroke late on Saturday night due to a brain condition.

It is unclear as to what triggered the attack. Life! understands he was at home at the time.

Mr Lim got his start as a radio DJ at Perfect 10 in 1992 and became general manager of English programming in 2003. He became vice-president of integrated media planning in 2006, a position he held until he joined entertainment group LifeBrandz in 2007.

He returned to MediaCorp at the end of last year, after stepping down as chief executive officer of LifeBrandz in November.

Friends and former colleagues contacted by Life! yesterday declined to comment, but acknowledged that his condition was "serious".
