Ex-tour guide Yang Yin struck off from wealthy widow's new will

SINGAPORE - A new will by wealthy 88-year-old widow Madam Chung Khin Chun has been recognised by a court, The Straits Times reported.

The new will leaves most of her assets to charity and excludes former China tour guide Yang Yin. The 41-year-old was named by Madam Chung in her previous will as "the sole executor and trustee and also the beneficiary" of her entire estate believed to be worth about $40 million.

Yang's lawyer Daniel Zhu previously claimed that the 2010 will was valid after Madam Chung's lawyer said that it was "procured by undue influence".

But Zhu insisted that the will was done up by a lawyer and that there was a medical doctor who certified her mental capacity.

Yang, who has been in police remand since Oct 31 last year, now faces more than 300 charges in total. They include two charges of criminal breach of trust.
