SHAH ALAM, Malaysia - A fake gun was among several items seized during a raid at a condominium unit used as a store for illegal DVDs.

Selangor police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan said that the raid began with the arrest of a Myanmar national in his 30s outside the condominium in Petaling Jaya at about 11.30am on Friday.

Police also detained two locals - a 41-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman - who were waiting at the basement carpark.

Following the arrests, DCP Shukri said that a Commercial Crimes Department team had inspected the unit where the Myanmar national had been staying and found 8,179 DVDs worth RM60,000 (S$23,500) stashed away in boxes.

The local suspect, who was previously arrested for drugs use in 2006, later took police to a video shop at a mall where he surrendered a replica of a Glock 17 pistol.
