Fandi starts a new football venture

Singapore football great Fandi Ahmad unveiled his new project, the F-17 Fandi Ahmad's Academy of Football Excellence, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Sep 28.

The 51-year-old, who recently left Malaysian Super League club Johor Darul Takzim, intends to use the academy to discover and develop the next footballing star.

The new academy is a merger between the Fandi Ahmad Academy (FAA) and another football school, the Academy of Football Excellence.

It is open to kids from age four, and will operate out of four locations - Safra Tampines, ITE College Central, Premier Pitch at Balestier Road, and Serangoon Gardens Secondary School.
