PETALING JAYA - Two siblings were looking forward to spending time overseas with their family after doing well in their exams but the outing will never take place.
Their father was found brutally murdered in his car, two days after a missing person's report was lodged on Aug 11.
According to a relative, Lim Yuit Foong - a general manager with a private firm in Taman Sri Endah, Sri Petaling - had earlier promised to take his two sons, aged 11 and 14, on a trip to Australia.
Lim's funeral was held at the Jing An Memorial Village yesterday, attended by family members, relatives and friends.
His wife and sons were inconsolable as they bade farewell to him.
Police assured that they would do all they could to bring his killers to justice.
Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Junaidi Bujang said police had found two fingerprints and blood samples in the victim's car at a parking lot in Kampung Baru Subang.
Supt Junaidi said Lim, 47, was lying on the front passenger seat with his throat slit, stab wounds on his chest and bruises all over his upper body.
"There may be more than one person involved due to the victim's physique.
"We believe the victim could have been attacked near his office before he was dumped and later found by passers-by," he said.
Supt Junaidi said police had yet to establish a motive for the murder.
Even though Lim's wallet, cellphone and other personal documents were missing, police combing the scene did not find any signs of a struggle.
