FB user vows to avenge death of gang members

KUALA LUMPUR - A Facebook user named "Tailong Man" says he will avenge the deaths of two Geng 36 members gunned down by police.

Tailong Man claimed that the two suspected hitmen were his "boys".

Federal police Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Hadi Ho Abdullah said a report about the threat had been lodged and police were working to identify the account's owner.

"A police officer who learnt about the posting lodged a report on Saturday," he said, adding that police had classified the case as criminal intimidation under Section 507 of the Penal Code.

Checks on Facebook yesterday found the account still active.

A series of status postings filled with threats against the police were also found on the account.

On Friday, the user had posted: "KETUA POLIS MELAKA-360/// MAU HANTAM SAMA LU PUNYA ANJING-ANJING. LU JAGA SAMA LU PUNYA ANJING-ANJING KASI MAKAN CUKUP-CUKUP. WA PANCUNG SEEKOR-SEEKOR LU PUNYA ANJING! LU SUDAH KASI SIVA SAMA RAJA TIDUR, LU INGAT LU SUDAH BAGUS? JAGA LU ORG!"

(Malacca police chief: 360 wants to kill all your "dogs". You take good care of them and feed them well. I will behead them one by one. You have killed Siva and Raja, and you think you are good enough? You just be careful!)

The user had put "professional hired killer" as his job on the account's profile.

The user also posted a statement calling for his comrades to avenge the dead suspects: "Semua adik beradik 36-360///-ini hari kita perang besar sama polis! kita kasi roh siva sama raja rest in peace". (all my 36-360 brothers, today we are declaring an all-out war against the police. We must let Siva and Raja's souls to rest in peace.)
