SINGAPORE - A fire broke out at Capitol Building, which is undergoing construction, at around 3.15pm yesterday.
A Stomp reader who was at the scene told the citizen journalism website that traffic was being diverted away from the area.
He said he was driving along Victoria Street when he heard a loud popping sound.
He then saw Capitol Building engulfed in flames.
He added: "Two men in business attire were helping to direct traffic away.
"Firefighters were also already at the scene of the incident."
