Fire at Downtown Line 2 worksite

SINGAPORE - A fire broke out within the Downtown Line 2 (DTL2) worksite at Little India Wednesday night.
The fire started at about 9.30pm, said the Land Transport Authority (LTA), which oversees the construction of all MRT stations. It engulfed three large containers.
No injuries were reported and the fire was put out by 10pm. "There is also no impact to DTL2 construction progress," said LTA. It will assist the Singapore Civil Defence Force in its investigations.
