Five persons to be charged for rioting

SINGAPORE - The police will charge five female suspects, aged between 17 and 21, for a case of rioting which occurred at a shopping centre along Grange Road in November last year.

On Nov 10, 2013 at about 6.20 am, the police was alerted to a fight amongst some patrons at an entertainment outlet in a shopping mall along Grange Road. Five female suspects were arrested at the scene for rioting.

The five suspects will be charged in court tomorrow for rioting, an offence under Section 147 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.

If convicted, they will face a prison term of up to 7 years.
