Football fans arrested

Five football fans - a woman and four men - were arrested before the match between LionsXII and Johor Darul Takzim at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Tuesday.

Police said they were arrested for disorderly behaviour. Chinese evening daily Lianhe Wanbao said that about 100 Malaysian football fans had tickets, but could not enter the stadium at about 7.45pm.

Wanbao observed about 10 police cars, at least five anti-riot vehicles and more than 100 officers around the stadium even after the match.
