Free-for-all at the club

A fight took place at Club Pyramid at St James Power Station early on Sunday morning, with bottles being thrown indiscriminately.

Pictures of the incident appeared on citizen journalism website Stomp, and a video surfaced on Facebook, showing club patrons splashing drinks and hurling glasses and furniture at each other.

The police said they were alerted to the incident on Sunday at 4.45am.

Mr Gordon Foo, 32, coordinating director, operations, at St James Pte Ltd, told The New Paper that the establishment was assisting the authorities with the investigations.

They are also looking to step up the training of their staff to prevent similar incidents.

Mr Foo also made it clear that Club Pyramid is not directly under the St James management.

'ISOLATED INCIDENT'

"This is an isolated incident that got out of hand," he said.

"We are working with the police on how to step up awareness of such matters, and also train our staff to handle such matters more effectively in future."

Police investigations are still going on.
