Gang leader gunned down in Johor temple in front of his family

JOHOR BARU - A 37-year-old gang leader was shot dead in front of his family during a special prayer session in a temple in Gelang Patah here on Friday.

K. Jeganathan was in the temple with his wife and three children when two men in full-face helmets walked in at about 7.30pm and shot him repeatedly in front of a dozen people and immediately fled on a motorcycle. It was all over in minutes.

Jeganathan, believed to be with Gang 21, was rushed to a Gelang Patah clinic but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

His body has been to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital for a post mortem. A police official urged those with information to contact the police hotline at 07-2212999.
