Singapore residents will be able to immerse themselves in the spirit&nbsp;of National Day even while on their daily commute, with the launch of NDP 2017 themed trains today (July 17).

Four of these trains will put into operation, one for each MRT line -&nbsp;the&nbsp;North South and East West Line (NSEWL), the North East Line (NEL), the Circle Line (CCL) and the Downtown Line (DTL).&nbsp;

According to a statement from the&nbsp;Land Transport Authority (LTA), the project is in collaboration with SBS Transit and SMRT, and in partnership with the&nbsp;NDP executive committee&nbsp;to "foster positive commuter culture and improve transport experiences".&nbsp;

The trains will be in service until August 27, so there's plenty of time to catch a ride in them.
