Good job, everyone

Deshane Ooi (wearing glasses) will never forget his 13th birthday, which was spent yesterday at the Istana, where he and brothers Deshawn, 12, and Deshann, 8, (in picture) helped clean the State Car that is used by President Tony Tan Keng Yam.

The brothers were among 17 scouts doing chores such as watering plants and cleaning silverware at the Istana. President Tan, who is Chief Scout of Singapore, made a donation in appreciation of the boys' efforts. The sum was not disclosed.

The event marked the launch of the Singapore Scout Association's Annual Job Week, which begins this Saturday.
