Goodie bags for runners can be collected at News Centre
The organisers announced alternative collection dates after a long line for goodie bags formed at Sunday's ST run.

SINGAPORE - Participants of The Straits Times' Run in the Park who did not manage to collect their finisher's medal and goodie bag on Sunday can do so from Monday to Friday.

They can collect them at the lobby of the Singapore Press Holdings building at 1,000 Toa Payoh North, News Centre, from 10am to 7.30pm.

Participants are reminded to bring along their race confirmation slip, race tag and identity card for identification.

The event organisers opened up the alternative dates for collection when a long queue formed after Sunday's race, resulting in some runners complaining about the wait for their goodie bags.

The delay was the result of the organisers deciding to add more gifts to the goodie bag, some of which had to be packed separately.

This added to the time taken to distribute the bags.

Some participants were also unhappy with the location of water points along the race routes as well as congestion around some of them, which caused delays.

The event organisers would like to apologise for the incidents that marred what was otherwise a pleasant morning for most runners.

ST will take on board all the feedback from participants and strive to do better for future events.
