Governor of Queensland on visit in Singapore

Australia and Singapore have reaffirmed their excellent relations with each other and noted the strong economic and defence links especially between Singapore and Queensland.

The Governor of the State of Queensland Paul de Jersey called on President Tony Tan Keng Yam on Mar 17 where they reaffirmed the excellent relations between Singapore and Queensland, and more broadly Australia.

They noted the strong economic and defence links between Singapore and Queensland, and discussed the potential for enhanced trade and investment, cultural and education co-operation.

Governor de Jersey is on a working visit to Singapore from Mar 14 to 18.
