A new video of a 65-year-old granny being bashed at a Chai Chee lift landing by her neighbour shows her going back to her flat after the initial attack, only to have the neighbour drag her back to the lobby and assault her again.
The video was shared by facebook user Maggie Goh. Her mother-in-law, Madam Toh Siew Hong, was the victim who assaulted by 41-year-old Casey Sabrina Ng, also known as Asha.
Asha had approached Madam Toh and dealt her with more than 50 blows over a span of 20 minutes. The new video shows Madam Toh getting back on her feet after the first few mintues of the assault.
As she is walking back to her flat, Asha rushes up behind her, before grabbing her and shoving her down to the ground. She proceeds to rain blows on Madam Toh for the rest of the video.
Asha is being investigated for the incident, and also faces two other charges of kicking a woman police corporal and verbally abusing a staff sergeant.
According to a report on The Straits Times, Asha was ordered to be remanded at the Institute of Mental Health. Her next court date is Oct 14.
The attack was recorded as Madam Toh's relatives had installed a security camera in the lift lobby outside their flat because of concerns about their neighbour's behaviour.
The victim, a grandmother of one, is presently under observation at Changi General Hospital with bruises near her eyes, plus stitches on her face and at the corner of her mouth.
