The groom in a weekend wedding has turned himself in to police for allowing a friend to use his gun in celebratory gunfire that killed a bystander on Sunday.

Sumeth Lomrorb, 25, was charged with the unlicensed possession of a gun but freed on Bt50,000 (S$2016) bail.

Sumeth surrendered and confessed to police late Monday night that one of the guns fired during the wedding procession in Chon Buri belonged to him, police said.
