SIBU, Malaysia - An employee of an air-conditioning service centre was stunned when his home at Lane 7 Jalan RTM Lama was shot at three times.
Known just as Sia, the man said he was with his wife, his 14-year-old son and mother in the living room when they heard gunshots at 9.20am yesterday.
His mother looked out of the window and saw a white Kancil car speeding away.
Upon inspecting the house, he said he saw bullet holes on the wall of the upper floor.
In a separate case, quick action by police led to the arrest of four men from a house at Aping Road in Stabau at 4am yesterday.
Among the items police seized from them were more than 10 guns, several knives and four motorcycles.
Prior to the arrest, a businessman made a police report claiming that a group of men attacked him at about 9pm on Saturday at Salim Road in Stabau.
The 39-year-old complainant told police that a man known as "Ah Huat" had called and asked him to go to his house.
Arriving at the house at around midnight, three men charged at him. The men then tied his hands and covered his eyes with a piece of cloth. They pushed him into a car and threw him into a river.
However, he managed to break free and escaped.
